Dr. Popescu is a graduate of Carol Davila School of Medicine in Bucharest Romania, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at North Shore University Hospital at Forest Hills, NY.
Dr. Popescu started her career in Internal Medicine in 1992.
She has practiced medicine in various settings including offices, hospitals, urgent care facilities and emergency rooms.
Dr. Popescu is a recipient of the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award in 2003 and 2008. Additionally, she is a member of the American College of Physicians, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Popescu is a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and a member of the American Cellular and Cosmetic Medicine Association.
In 2006 Dr. Popescu founded Modern Medical Practice, which is dedicated to providing internal medicine services to the Rivertowns community.
As a medical provider she takes a personal interest in her patients, putting her knowledge, experience and perseverance at work for the patients’ best interest. Dr. Popescu has a hands-on manner of practicing medicine which stems from her training and clinical background.
In her private moments Dr. Popescu is an artist and musician. In 2011 she developed Da Vinci Med Spa, a progression of her artistic inclinations,providing Regenerative and Aesthetic Medicine Services.
